NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooo! Ok, let me be really sad. This is sad for two reasons: 1) It means the end of my Zhao Liying+Chen Xiao ship, and 2) This means that they are bringing to real life the whole nightmare that was Return of the Condor Heroes 2015. Ok, am I being too mean? 😥
So, first the facts:
- Recently, it was the birthday of Michelle Chen. Chen Xiao wished her a happy birthday at exactly 00:00. Dedication?
- Paparazzi had spotted Michelle Chen’s car driving toward the same hotel as Chen Xiao in July 2015.
- There is a video following the two of them and their interactions that you can find by searching 超能大星探 ：陈晓陈妍希坐实恋情 on iQiyi.
- Basically, the two had been spotted at the same hotel a lot this summer AND even sharing the same hotel room.
Ok, so first of all, I know they are adults in their twenties and nearly in their thirties. Hence, I don’t care if they share the same room at a hotel and they are dating people. But each other? I am probably being a very bad fan, but I can’t bring myself to be happy about the news. I understand Chen Xiao is not dating Zhao Liying and accept that they are not going to be an item anytime soon. I know Michelle Chen is a great girl and I hope both actors can be happy. However, with the whole desaster that was Return of the Condor Heroes, I really wanted to put this whole acting project behind for them so they can move to better things. When I heard the two are filming together the movie Good Morning Paris, I thought hell no I am not jumping in the trap again. Anyway, even if this news is sudden and unwelcomed, I will try to change my mind about this pairing and hope for them to be happy together.
I mean, if in 2006, news of Huang Xiaoming and Liu Yifei were brought out, everyone would be happy to see the Xiaolong Nu + Yang Guo pairing become a reality. However, when I think of CX and MC, it is impossible for me to think of a legendary couple becoming reality. I don’t know. Rahhhh. I am so confused right now and am probably not making any sense. Anyhow. Whatever. After all, they don’t care about my opinions, right? :’D
ps; Last word, but I feel like their personality doesn’t fit. Is it only me? Am I, once again, too bias?

I totally agree! Weird couple, but wish them all the best. Think they might even get married (don’t be too sad). There’s a legit news source that exposed Liu Yifei’s relationship that said all 4 actresses: Tang Yan, Zhao Li Ying, Michelle Chen, and Liu Yi Fei are dating someone from the entertainment. Liu Yi Fei was the first one they revealed. They said that all of these actresses are in a relationship with their costar from the drama that aired this year with very high ratings. I figured it was Chen Xiao for Michelle Chen since it was ROCH was the only drama that aired this year. Who do you think it could be for ZLY? I think it’s Luo Jin or maybe Li Yifeng (but doubtful) for Tang Yan because Wallace Chung doesn’t even follow her on Weibo.

For Zhao Liying: there is only Wallace Huo, Zheng Kai (already dating), William Chan (probably dating), Lu Yi (married), Bosco Wang (not broadcasted yet), Chen Xiao (just let me cry)… so unless it is a secondary actor from her dramas, I am rooting for Wallace 😀
For Tang Yan: Luo Jin! Because there is a lot of rumors for them and they seem to work on a new project soon (hueue… just like Chen Xiao)

Does seem a little unbelievable, no offense, but Chen Xiao flirts with a lot of girls and are in contact with much prettier and younger actresses. I am kinda surprised he would fall for Michelle Chen, but maybe she has something that attracts hot guys. She actually dated Li Dong Xue before. I am not surprised about ZLY and CX not being together anymore… news said that they had a fight while he was filming ROCH with Michelle Chen. Haven’t been seen together since. Plus, Li Ying said in an interview she had been cheated on before and if a guy did even anything inappropriate, she would break up right away. She also seems to like cold, strong guys who don’t go out much or interact with many girls. She complimented Hawick Lau by saying he’s very obedient and only works out and doesn’t go out.

Yes, Chen Xiao does seem like the flirty and sweet talking guys. I guess thats why it so hard to believe that he would fall for Michelle Chen. Also Wallace is the type who is very personal and tries to lay low even though drama always seems to be catching up to him somehow. I’ve always thought that Li Ying would like funny and out going guys..but most of the time those type of guys are the flirty ones and so she wouldn’t want to risk getting cheated on. Well, I’m just waiting for a day when someone expose who Li Ying is dating(hoping its Wallace).

When i first watched Lu Zhen, I thought that ZLY and CX look compatible in real life. But having watched more ZLY shows since then, I think she may go for an older guy in real life. Not sure if it’s Wallace Huo but I won’t be surprised. She may play a cute young character like Shan Shan but her real life persona seems more subdued and intense – kinda like SN from Best Get Going. I suspect ZLY and CX dates but it didn’t work out:)

Yes, I also felt like Chen Xiao and Zhao Liying are very compatible both in real life and in dramaland. And a lot of people think the same if you consider how big their ship was LOL Like, those two are the type to really put efforts and energy into their acting and it really show. And I loved how CX smiled at ZLY during their promotional phase for Legend of Lu Zhen. On another side, if ZLY can’t date CX, my second best candidate for her is Qi Ji. They were perfect too in Cuo Dian Yuan Yang! Dating god, please make her date either Qi Ji or Wallace Huo *_* Don’t disappoint me again … v_v

Qi Ji is really perfect! He is so tall and masculine. I find his looks better than people such as Huang Xiaoming. #sorrynotsorry I don’t know why he didn’t get more popularity after Cuo Dian Yuan Yang because he is … really hot. Zhao Liying shot to fame right after thanks to Female Prime Minister (the drama with Chen Xiao), but Qi Ji stayed behind 😦 Even this year, he played a really sad antagonist in Cruel Romance and didn’t get as much attention as I wanted. :’D Hope the best for him, maybe he could work with Liying again? ^^
Chen Xiao is actually really good looking in my opinion. His eyes and smile make me melt. But, yes, I do agree he is not the best looking out there. He, like Yang Yang and Zhang Han, are very slim. Which doesn’t match the American view of beauty (be strongly built). Michelle Chen on the other hand… I am not sure if she is anyone’s goddess. Maybe Chen Xiao and Kai Ko’s? xD Apple of my Eyes was reall trendy back then though! It shot MC and Kai Ko to fame like crazy and was the start of an infinite number of college movies in China after. Also, the image she created back then (cold prettiest girl in class that everyone loves) was really popular. However, it is all gone know thanks to the desaster that was Return of the Condor Heroes. For me, Liu Yifei is the best Dragon Girl ever because she gets that cold, but gorgeous image on point. She is basically a living Dragon girl!

No! I am sure there are a lot of Qi Ji fan out there. For instance, when Cruel Romance was airing this year, a lot of fans were actually supporting Qi Ji’s bad guy character (and hoping that he would turn good by the end). It was an amer reality when it was obvious he isn’t going to change camp anytime soon. However, I think he really needs some good roles to show his real talent (and physical appeal keke). It is too bad he doesn’t have more connections inside the industry as he is also getting older 😦 All the good roles are taken by actors like Zhang Han, Yang Yang and Jing Boran, leaving actors like him nothing… ZLY got really famous thanks to Yumama for spotting her. He gave her the role of Lu Zhen in Female Prime Minister, which really pushed her to stardom and lead role material. As for Han Dong, he already played and got famous through the series Bubujingxin and since CDYY, starred in at least three dramas as lead. Hardworking or luck? not sure.
Nicky Wu was not that popular before, but he really shot to fame too thanks to BBJX. I actually like his personality as a person and wish him the best with wifey Liu Shishi. It is true that QJ is waayy hotter though! Michelle Chen is not pretty in my standards either … It is too bad she tries to play roles as #1 beauty of the world. Really, haters are coming for her!
Don’t watch Cruel Romance only for Qi Ji! You are going to be so disappointed in the long term. Really. Because the series is really bad in general and it puts too much light on Huang Xiaoming’s character. As for QJ’s, he is so evil that it gives goosebumps.

Ohhh… I would never watch Cruel Romance just for Qi Ji. No worries, haha lol..First of all as I mentioned not a fan of either leads so I am so NOT interested. If I do need to see QJ’s scenes, there is always utube. I think people will be more accepting of Li Ying’s relationship now that we know CX was in a relationship first. CX+MC also seem very serious, there’s actresses/actors saying “finally can publicly bless you, can’t wait to eat wedding candy next year”. ZLY is gaining so many weibo followers at the moment. That’s the way I thought at first and the reason why I gave the drama a try at first. But, not only was she miscasted, but her acting is so far from the description of the character XiaolongNu and I think that for me, that was really a deal breaker. I felt bad for her because I knew she got a lot of hate, but again, she sought all of those by accepting a role she could basically not play well.
She is a cute and nice person, and I think this casting totally ruined her image. Not all casting offers should be accepted ^^
I also hope William Chan and Charlene Choi doesn’t break up (if they didn’t already) since I kind of like the duo Twins. I am more of a Gillian Chueng fan though and I really hope no controversy will land on them anytime soon.

I think they probably broke up too. He never seems to mention her, I actually didn’t know he had a gf before! He’s really talented and good-looking, but he doesn’t seem like the reliable, mature type. He’s almost 30 and doesn’t seem to want to settle down either… so, I doubt even if she moved for him, it would work. Just read that she actually rented an apartment in his building, but that he never even comes home (to HK) anymore. Also, he apparently bought a bike for her birthday because he wanted her to work out more??!! I wouldn’t worry about WC+ZLY being together/her being a third party, I really don’t see that happening. I don’t even know if I see ZLY with any actors anymore, I feel like she would be like Zhao Wei and settle down with a businessman instead.

I think Zhao Liying is the kind of girls who qould be touched by fairy tales and romantic gestures… so a guy like Wallace seems fitting. And I hope William is taking care of his gf, lol, I would hate it if my bf treat me like this

Omg my heart just broke lol. I always thought ZLY and CX are the couple I want to ship the most. But watching HQG I don’t mind if ZLY date WH but I shipped CX and ZLY the most. At least I never thought CX and MC would date they seem so different. But good for them. It’s just a shocker. Wow who is ZLY dating????

Yes! I agree so much! There is just something that make CX and MC not compatible. The personality and the appearance just doesn’t add up. I am not saying either is ugly, BUT, it just feels like something is wrong (not right):P
LOL, you are just as curious as I am, girl! But I feel like Wallace Huo and Zhao Liying would make a weird (but very pretty) couple.

This blog post is exactly my sentiment with regards to Chen Xiao & Michelle Chen dating….T___T it certainly provokes my nightmarish memory about the 2015 ROCH (all the cringe-worthy moments of the drama @___@). Odd couple, but wish them the best nonetheless.
