This entertainment update is somehow extremely slow so I decided to add my favorite moments from the Fashion Week… Hope next week will be slightly better. On a happy note, Leonard Di Caprio won the Oscars!!
News of the decade: Leonardo DiCaprio won an Oscar for his great acting in the Hollywood movie The Revenant about indigenous people and Global Warming. I am so happy for him I went on to quickly photoshop this up.
Hehe, this year is going to be greate. Furthermore, as a gift I guess from China, The Revenent is now clear for release in mainland. Hurray!

Surprising casting news: Ji Chang Wook is casted as the lead for the upcoming Whirlwind Girl 2. I don’t know how popular Chang Wook is in China, but the fans sure aren’t blind! I am honestly surprised to see the production team ready to film season 2 without their main selling point aka Yang Yang.
On the other hand, Yu Zheng just casted the new hot shot of the hour Huang Jing Yu for his drama Demon Girl. Huang Jingyu is one of the male lead of Heroin/Addicted and he is so handsome!
I have no word for this new project, but thought maybe some of you may want a laugh. China is going to make a live adaptation of the successful Japanese anime 櫻桃小丸子 Chibi Maruko-chan. This series will star newbie Lin Xinlei.
Yang Mi and Dilireba have started filming for Three World!
At the same time, Lee Jong Suk and Zheng Shuang finally meet for the filming of Jade Lover!!

Talking about Angelababy, she is a true Disney princess in special event for her 28th birthday!
Her movie with Jing Boran also wrapped up filming a few weeks ago and her name has been attached to many drama adaptations of popular movies. I wonder if the setting of Just A Smile is Alluring is a cave, because there was almost no stills released for either the drama or the movie version :”D The fans are getting impatient on weibo ^^

I legit screamed when they announced the Oscar for best actor. So happy that Leo won! Gonna miss all the jokes and memes people have made about him not getting an Oscar, haha.
Ji Chang Wook is one of the few K-actors with a large fanbase in China. He’s one of my fave K-actors because of his outstanding acting, so I’m not sure if him being casted for Whirlwind Girl 2, a teen drama, is a good idea.
Glad the male lead of Heroin/Addicted is getting more offers! even if it’s in Yu Zheng’s drama lol.

I would believe so. He did just film Mr.Right after all and see, he already has a second offer! I actually never checked out his acting projects, but he doesn’t look like someone who would do teenager dramas… Whirlwind Girl 2 definitely feels like a step down.
Apparently, the male lead of Heroin/Addicted is really in demand right now and a lot of big agencies want to sign him. His career is going to the right direction!

Haha oh no his role was just miserable lol So strange, at first production team announcing that Ruobai is dead, than resurrecting him….well this drama can afford it, maybe it will become less boring because first season was hard to watch, there was nothing but silly love-shuffles.

I know xD Poor him. That destroyed the beautiful image I had of Vincent Jiao. Really, Ruobai is supposed to be dead? I thought he was sick, but he will tough through it and become an awesome taekwondo coach. Yop, the first season was a bit boring. Hope they change the screewriter too 😛

I’m not sure some fanbases wrote that production team announced that Ruobai was passed away bla bla bla right after YY decline suggestion to film in second season. Well I don’t know is it true or not. Me too. Maybe new screenwriter will make Bai Cao more mature, but I won’t see it because I’m not going to watch it ha ha

Huang Jing Yu is hot and adorable and his voice makes me crazy, so glade that he gain popularity after Addiction but…..Yu Zheng’s project…..hmmm

I know! Yu Zheng is far from being on my watch list this year and frankly, his story with or without the stellar cast is a big miss with me. So many characters under the hand of Yumama sounds like a mess already.

When I found out that Ji Chang Wook will be the male lead for Whirlwind Girl 2 (& thus safely assume that Yang Yang will be no more), I was like “NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!” even though I love the Ji Chang Wook and not exactly into Whirlwind Girl in general. The casting & continuation of Whirlwind Girl just seem all too weird to me! @____@

Yop, I also feel like Yang Yang is out of the drama for good. Haha, yeah, there were definitely some weird casting news during the past month! I actually don’t know much about JCW personnally, but I also feel like he is not a good fit for Whirlwind Girl 2. I wonder if he will romance Hu Bingqing xD
