We Are in Love Season 2 Announces Cast

Is this a joke? On SkimmedMilkDRAMA, Dramarian and I were discussing about the possible and exciting new coupling for We Are In Love Season 2《相爱吧2》(check out all the possible bachelors on this say post). As they are premiering in February 14th, JiangSu TV need to find the new couples fast AND start filming! Today, news outlet announced the new three couples and I want to slap them and wake them up from this nonsense. By the way, since there weren’t any BTS released, maybe the couples can still change? (leave my delusional hope alone, ok…).

ps; We wrote so many articles these days.. 😦 it is because.. c-entertainment never sleep and all those articles we thought were really interesting… We will try to slow down.

As we did the same with season 1, here we are introducing you to season 2’s highly probably candidates…

1. Chen Bolin and Song Jihyo

The most WTF couple for me. They will start filming the show next week. When Jiangsu TV bought the rights for the show, were they forced to cast at least one Korean in each season? I mean, why? WHY?? What about my beautiful Monday Couple. This is so weird…

Ok. Let’s give some background check on these two. Chen Bolin is a famous Taiwanese actor now based in China. His most famous OTP is with Ariel Lin for the TW-drama In Time With You. In the recent year, he also ventured in the Korean market by having a Korean representative agency and working with K-actresses like Ha Jiwon and is friend with SNSD’s YoonA. In brief, he probably can speak a bit of Korean. He is super funny so to see him casted is a great thing.

BUT, Song Jihyo? Song Jihyo is the sole female member of the Korean variety show Running Man. On the show, she has a lovely cute on-screen relationship with Kang Gary or as fans call them, the Monday Couple (because they film RM on Monday). Song Jihyo is one of the most active RM cast member in China as she attended a lot of Chinese awards show in the past years and even came on some variety show. However, I believe she can’t recreate what she has with Kang Gary with Chen Bolin. After all, it is not Gary. If this rumor turns out to be true, then I bet Korea will be super mad too. After all, they had been yelling for years to have the Monday Couple on their version of We Got Married.

2. Shawn Yue and Zhou Dongyu

Shawn Yue is currently 34 years old. He had starred in a lot of good movies such as Jiang Hu and Internal Affairs II. I don’t really follow him a lot so I can’t say much about his personality. Zhou Dongyu on the other hand is a really cute actress that I love (she did Palace Movie, Under the Hawthorn Tree, My Old Classmate and the soon to be aired I hope Love &Life&Lie). She appeared on a lot of variety show now and showed her cute, silly and… immature sides. I am happy to see her more exposed of course, but I am also worried as she isn’t that cut for variety. I don’t think they really got their name entangled with other actors so far. However, isn’t Shawn Yue a little bit too old for her? I mean, she is only 23 years old. I just hope the publicist messed up and meant to write Shawn Dou. I mean that, that would be a good couple (the two were OTP for their first major project Under the Hawthorn Tree).

3. Wei Daxun and Li Qin

I am not too familiar with those two either so I had to do some searching. All I found is that he once appeared on Happy Camp… and he is signed under JYP Entertainment. Oupppss… So, is this news legit? It is possible. He acted in the drama One and a Half Summer with Nichkhun. So, let’s see how much the scandal will cool down before the premire of We Are in Love to see how welcoming Chinese watchers are of this couple. As for Li Qin, she is so pretty!! I often saw pictures of her photoshoots and she often look flawless. She acted in the 2010 Hong Long Meng The Dream of Red Mansions and also in other projects such as My Amazing Bride in 2015. I can’t judge on the chemistry so far…
