[Drama] Demon Girl with Zhang Zhehan and Li Yitong

We talked about the drama a few time in entertainment updates, but never really went too deep into the story. Redemption time! The Chinese name of the drama is 半妖倾城 which can be translated to Half-Demon, Half Demon Allure. With official name Demon Girl, this drama is produced by Yu Zheng and is starring Zhang Zhehan and new actress Li Yitong. Sigh, whatever. I feel like Yu Zheng has some really weird modern projects this year. Had he gone insane after the Yun Zhong Ge’s sad ratings?

[Drama] 重生 Revive with Ma Ke, Viann Zhang and Xu Haiqiao

To be frank, the first character stills for this drama didn’t look very promising, hence why I didn’t follow its news perfectly. However, recently, with the added BTS, stills and press conference combo, I thought it was only fair to give this drama its own post. After all, it has Sha Jiejie in it!! Without even noticing (I don’t know how I missed that), there were a lot of new character stills that were released.  Drama Revive stars Ma Ke, Zhang Xinyu (Viann Zhang) and Xu Haiqiao.

Border-Town Prodigal 《新边城浪子》 Character Stills+Stills

 

Do you feel like we don’t have enough ancient dramas (or that all the ones you are waiting for are on hold because of Chinese broadcast regulations)? Will, good for you, because more are coming! This is one of them and it is filming right now. This is an adaption from Gu Long’s wuxia novel of the same name. (Yes, more wuxia dramas!) I think it will get a good shot at being released since Zhang Xinyu is on it and we all know her dramas come out quiet fast… The actors casted are Zhu Yilong (yeah!), Yu Qing Bin, Zhang Xinyu, Jiao En Jun (Vincent Jiao), Wang Yi Tong, Gong Mi , Chai Bi Yun , and Yang Jing Ru. It will be a 50 episodes drama and since it started filming in June, now we have stills and character posters! Yeah!

The 68th Cannes Film Festival Red Carpet [End]

The 68th Cannes Film Festival opened up today and some of our favorites fashionista/actresses went to the big event. These A-list Chinese celebrities went to the Opening Ceremony of the festival (which will be happening from May 13th to 24th, 2015) and the premier of the movie ‘La Tête Haute’.

New movie produced by He Jiong just released a very funny trailer starring Li Yifeng, Zhang Huiwen, Zhang Xinyu, Coco Lee, Jiang Jinfu and Du Tianhao. 

7 Chinese Actors and their Doppelganger/Look-alike Duos

Did you ever look at some actors/actresses and wonder, hey, this face looks familiar. No, it is not because every Chinese look the same (stop with this prejudices!). In the entertainment industry, there truly are celebrities who look so alike you had to stop and make sure you are not seeing double. ps; this list may be biased by author.

1. Wang Leehom and Purba Rgyal. The duo that made me want to write this post. Although I love both entertainers and want to saw their have their specific identity, when it comes to physical attribute, they look the same! Ok, maybe Purba is a bit more tanned. Both of them are excellent entertainers, doing both acting and singing very well. However, do note that they are not from the same hometown (I checked in case of twin situation xD). Purba is from Tibet while Leehom is from Taiwan.
